Touch Support

DevExpress ASP.NET WebForms controls and MVC extensions are designed to work in touch device browsers. Touch is supported for the iOS 4+ browser, the default Android 3+ browser, and Internet Explorer 10+.

The DevExpress ASP.NET Subscription ships with the following touch-ready controls, each with unique implementations based on context and usage scenarios.

  • Grid View - record scrolling, column resizing, column header dragging, swipe-to-page gesture, slide paging animation;
  • TreeList - record scrolling, column header dragging, swipe-to-page gesture, column resizing;
  • PivotGrid - record scrolling, column header dragging, swipe-to-page gesture, slide paging animation;
  • Scheduler - scrolling, appointment dragging, swipe-to-page gesture, slide paging animation;
  • Data View - swipe-to-page gesture, slide paging animation;
  • Dock Panel - dragging;
  • File Manager - scrolling;
  • Image Slider - swipe-to-page gesture, slide paging animation, optional fade animation when the swipe-to-page gesture is turned off;
  • Menu - scrolling;
  • News Control swipe-to-page gesture; slide paging animation;
  • Popup Control - dragging, resizing, scrolling;
  • Splitter - resizing;
  • Calendar - swipe-to-page gesture, slide paging animation;
  • ComboBox and ListBox - scrolling.

All ASP.NET Controls with the update on callback functionality now include an optional fade animation.

Swipe-to-page gesture is automatically activated when a touch interface is detected.

You can see a demonstration of the touch functionality in the Hotel Booking demo.
