Localize the Query Builder

This document provides information on how to localize the ASP.NET Query Builder control using the built-in localization mechanisms and programmatically fine-tune the localization by substituting particular localization strings.

To localize the Query Builder, you can use one of the following approaches, or both approaches simultaneously.

Expanded Localize the Query Builder Using Satellite Resource Assemblies

The Query Builder control can be localized using Satellite Resource Assemblies (libraries that contain translated resources), which is a common approach to localizing .NET applications.

To learn how to localize DevExpress ASP.NET controls using satellite assemblies, refer to the following document: Localizing ASP.NET Controls via Satellite Resource Assemblies.

Expanded Substitute Localization Strings

To programmatically substitute a particular localization string with a custom one, call the ASPxClientQueryBuilder.UpdateLocalization method of the client query builder. This method receives an object, containing key-value pairs that define localization for the specified strings. This approach is useful when you need to manually fine-tune the localization and may be utilized in conjunction with Satellite Resource Assemblies.
