View Modes

FileManager supports two file list view modes: Thumbnails and Details. The Thumbnails view is displayed by default. Use the FileManagerSettingsFileList.View (via the FileManagerSettings.SettingsFileList.View) property to enable the Details mode.

Expanded Thumbnails View Mode

In the Thumbnails view mode, a file list is represented by file thumbnails. You can use the FileManagerSettingsFileList.ThumbnailsViewSettings (via the FileManagerSettings.SettingsFileList.ThumbnailsViewSettings) property settings to customize the mode's functionality.

Expanded Details View Mode

In the Details view mode, a file list is represented by a grid containing information about files. You can use the FileManagerSettingsFileList.DetailsViewSettings (via the FileManagerSettings.SettingsFileList.DetailsViewSettings) property settings to customize the mode's functionality.

To customize the collection of columns, use the FileManagerFileListDetailsViewSettings.Columns (via the FileManagerSettings.SettingsFileList.DetailsViewSettings.Columns) property. A file list can contain columns of the following types.

Type Description
FileName The column displays a file name.
LastWriteTime The column displays the time of the last file modification.
Size The column displays a file size.
Thumbnail The column displays a file Thumbnail.
