ToolTip

A ToolTip element is displayed when the cursor hovers over an appointment or selected time cells. A drag tooltip is shown when an appointment is dragged over the time cell area. A tooltip appearance is dependant on the selected style. The following picture shows the tooltip for the Office 365 style.

To change the tooltip display mode, set the ASPxSchedulerOptionsToolTips.AppointmentToolTipMode property to AppointmentToolTipMode.Button. In this mode, the tooltip is displayed as a button.

You can click the tooltip to invoke a popup menu as illustrated below.

Handle the ASPxScheduler.PreparePopupMenu event to add or remove menu items, and modify the actions associated with menu items.

Default tooltips are web controls located at the ~/DevExpress/ASPxSchedulerForms/ path and named as follows: AppointmentToolTip.ascx, SelectionToolTip.ascx and AppointmentDragToolTip.ascx.

The ASPxScheduler.OptionsToolTips property provides access to basic tooltip characteristics. It enables you to specify the location of user controls displayed as tooltips and modify the tooltip design, i.e., make their corners round or squared. By providing custom .ascx forms, you can compose your own tooltips with complex behavior, as illustrated in the animated picture below.

Online demos

Refer to the following online demos to review how to customize an appointment tooltip.
