Expressions

DevExpress data-aware controls allow specifying various criteria as string expressions. For example, the GridControl and the PivotGridControl use expressions to implement unbound (calculated) columns. These columns' data is calculated automatically according to a specified formula. Expressions are also used to represent criteria for conditional formatting rules.
