Main Features

The DXSpellChecker for WPF is a component allowing you to concentrate on the quality of your WPF applications based on DevExpress controls, without the need to use third party spell checking components.

The list below outlines the DXSpellChecker component's main capabilities.

  • Supported Controls

The SpellChecker component supports the generic System.Windows.Controls.TextBox, DevExpress TextEdit, MemoEdit and RichEditControl.

  • Dictionary Availability

You may use the simple word list, ISpell, OpenOffice or Hunspell dictionaries. The advantages of OpenOffice and Hunspell dictionaries are that they are available for free, and are constantly updated, since they are a part of the open source project. (Read more...)

  • Custom Dictionaries

This kind of dictionary can be extended by the user while checking the text.

  • Mixed Language Text Checking

You can change the language and the corresponding dictionary during checking.

  • Check As You Type

In all supported controls, words that are not in the dictionary can be underlined using wavy color lines. The DXSpellChecker automatically checks spelling as you type, word by word. (Read more...)

  • Ready-to-Use Spelling Dialogs - You may use predefined spelling forms. The Multi-level Undo feature facilitates the text amendment process. (Read more...)
