Editing Unbound Expression

You can provide data for unbound fields by creating an expression. Expressions allow you to calculate values based on values of other fields. You can use constants, various functions and operators in expressions.

The end-user can edit the unbound field's expression in the Expression Editor by selecting the Expression Editor... menu command.

Note

To add the Expression Editor... menu command to the context menu for this field, set the PivotGridFieldOptionsEx.ShowUnboundExpressionMenu property to true.

For information on the syntax of expressions, see Expressions.

Refer to the Unbound Data topic to learn about creating unbound fields and other ways of populating them with data.
