Filter Button and Drop-Down

Filter buttons are displayed within field headers and can be clicked to invoke a filter drop-down window. This window allows end-users to filter pivot grid data.

The table below lists the main members that affect filter button appearance.

Note: These settings are not in effect when Pivot Grid Control is painted in Windows XP, Office2003 or Skin style.

Availability The Pivot Grid Control's PivotGridOptionsCustomization.AllowFilter option and the field's PivotGridFieldOptions.AllowFilter option.

Expanded Filter Drop-Down Toolbar

The table below lists the main members that affect the filter drop-down toolbar functionality.

The following table describes available toolbar buttons.

Show Only Available Items Controls whether filter items that cannot be displayed because of filtering applied to other fields should be hidden or not.

Corresponding property: PivotGridOptionsFilterBase.ShowOnlyAvailableItems

Note that this option is not available for Group Filters.

Show New Field Values Controls whether field values that have appeared in the datasource after the field's filtering was configured should be shown or not.

Corresponding properties:

Incremental Search Controls whether the incremental searching feature is enabled or not. This feature allows end-users to locate an item in the drop-down by typing the item's initial characters.

Corresponding property: PivotGridOptionsFilterPopup.AllowIncrementalSearch

Multi-Selection Controls whether end-users are allowed to select only a single item or multiple items.

Corresponding property: PivotGridOptionsFilterPopup.AllowMultiSelect

Radio Mode Controls whether end-users are allowed to check only a single item or multiple items.

Corresponding properties:

Invert Filter Inverts the checked state for all filter items.
