Printing Basics

All printable DevExpress .NET controls are printed using methods provided by the XtraPrinting Library.

To determine if previewing and printing are available, check the control's IsPrintingAvailable property's value. To show the Preview window, which displays the control as it will appear when printed, use the ShowPrintPreview and ShowRibbonPrintPreview methods. To print the contents immediately without showing a preview, use the Print and PrintDialog methods.

Note

Custom painting, alpha blending and color gradient features are not supported in a control's printout.
