Grand Totals

Grand Totals are calculated for all the data which is currently displayed in the PivotGridControl. Row Grand Total(s) are row(s) which display summary totals calculated against all the rows. Column Grand Total(s) are column(s) which display summary totals calculated against all the columns.

By default, if there are multiple data fields the Pivot Grid Control displays multiple column grand totals (for each data field), and a single row grand total.

To reverse the layout and display multiple row grand totals and a single column grand total, set the PivotGridOptionsDataField.Area property to PivotDataArea.RowArea.

The summary function used to calculate an automatic grand total is determined by the PivotGridFieldBase.SummaryType property of the corresponding data field.

By default, if a single value of an outer column field is listed along the control's top edge, the column grand total(s) is not displayed. Similarly, the row grand total(s) is not displayed if a single value of an outer row field is listed along the control's left edge. To display grand totals in this case, set the PivotGridOptionsViewBase.ShowGrandTotalsForSingleValues property to true.

To hide column and row grand totals, use the PivotGridOptionsViewBase.ShowColumnGrandTotals and PivotGridOptionsViewBase.ShowRowGrandTotals properties. It's also possible to hide grand totals that correspond to a particular data field. Use the field's PivotGridFieldOptions.ShowGrandTotal property to do this.
