Card Settings

The general Card View description can be found in the Card View topic. This topic provides information about View settings affecting the contents and visibility of View elements. To learn about customizing card layouts, please refer to the Card Layout and Card Auto Width topics.

Expanded Card Settings

The image below shows a portion of a Card View and highlights some of its settings.

The table below provides brief descriptions of the members illustrated in the above image.

Property Description
CardOptionsView.ShowCardCaption Toggles card caption visibility. By default, card captions are visible.
CardView.CardCaptionFormat Specifies the card caption's pattern. By default, this property value is 'Record N {0}'. This means that card captions display the "Record N " string followed by the record number. You can also force Card Views to display field values within cards. For instance, setting the CardCaptionFormat property to '{1} {2}' will result in a display of first and second column values separated by a space. To get the result shown in the image above, the property should be set to 'Category: {4}'.
CardView.VertScrollVisibility Toggles the card scroll button's visibility. If buttons are displayed, cards that don't fit inside the View vertically are automatically resized to display only a portion of card fields. In this case, scroll buttons are used to navigate through fields.
CardOptionsView.ShowLines Toggles vertical line visibility. These lines are displayed between cards and can be dragged by end-users to change card width.
CardOptionsView.ShowCardExpandButton Toggles the expand button's visibility. The expand buttons allow end-users to collapse and expand individual cards.
CardView.CustomCardCaptionImage event Allows you to display images in card captions.
