MRU Filters

The Grid Control supports the most recently used (MRU) filters for Views and individual columns. A View's filter is a combination of individual column filters. Column MRU filters are displayed at the top of a column's filter dropdown list by default. View MRU filters can be accessed using the filter panel that contains a dropdown button, which displays a list of the filters when clicked.

The MRU filter list for a View is shown in the following image.

The maximum number of MRU filters stored for a column and a View are specified by the ColumnViewOptionsFilter.MRUColumnFilterListCount and ColumnViewOptionsFilter.MRUFilterListCount properties, respectively. To get the MRU filters, the ColumnView.MRUFilters and GridColumn.MRUFilters properties can be used. These allow you to customize the View's and column's MRU filters, if necessary. It is also possible to customize how column MRU filters are displayed by handling the ColumnView.ShowFilterPopupListBox event.

To disable/enable the MRU filter functionality for columns and Views, use the ColumnViewOptionsFilter.AllowColumnMRUFilterList and ColumnViewOptionsFilter.AllowMRUFilterList properties, respectively.
