The XtraEditors library includes various multi-purpose controls and editors capable of working as standalone controls or within the XtraGrid, XtraTreeList, XtraBars controls, etc. All the components support Skinning technology and Appearance Customization allowing you to create appealing interfaces with ease.

To get acquainted with the library, please review the following topics:

  • Editors - covers the editors, which can be used as standalone controls or within container controls (XtraGrid, XtraTreeList, XtraBars, etc);
  • Controls - provides the list of controls which can only be used standalone;
  • Components - contains information on additional components included in the library.

The following topics provide detailed information on how editors and controls are organized:

  • Editor Hierarchy - explains the editor hierarchy tree;
  • Editor Class Structure - describes how editors are organized internally, and how they offer in-place editing in other controls;
  • Editor Containers - provides information about the classes that serve as the base for controls and components that may use in-place editors;
  • Repositories and Repository Items - describes the editors repository - a concept used by DevExpress controls that support in-place editors.
