PopupBaseEdit.ShowPopup() Method
Opens the popup window.
Namespace: DevExpress.XtraEditors
Assembly: DevExpress.XtraEditors.v24.1.dll
NuGet Package: DevExpress.Win.Navigation
#Declaration
#Remarks
The ShowPopup method enables you to open the popup window via code. Use this method to simplify end-user input. For instance, you may want to open an editor’s popup window as soon as the editor receives focus.
The ShowPopup method will not succeed in the following cases:
- the editor is either disabled or read-only (RepositoryItem.Enabled is false or RepositoryItem.ReadOnly is true);
- the RepositoryItemPopupBase.QueryPopUp event handler prevents the popup window from being invoked.
To close the popup window via code, you can call either the PopupBaseEdit.ClosePopup or PopupBaseEdit.CancelPopup methods. These methods allow you to accept or discard the changes made within the popup window.
